Scottish Telecom is to merge its mobile communications unit with the northern regional arm of Martin Dawes Telecommunications (MDT), moving its business across the English border. Scottish Telecom aims to sell integrated fixed and mobile services, and will use MDT's customer care system to deliver tailored bills for individual users. The turnover of the new venture will be #25 million.
