British Steel has said it will outsource the majority of its computer support operations to Cap Gemini rather than other contender, EDS, in a ten year deal worth #400 million. More than 600 staff are expected to move to their new employer, which already has a five year outsourcing deal wtih British Steel in Rotherham, worth a further #100 million.
