BT is reported to be in discussions with four of the US? largest telcos to fill the gap left by the failure of its merger plans with MCI.
According to an article in 'The Times', BT chiefs have been in talks with AT&T, Bell Atlantic, SBC and US West. A formal announcement of intent could come as early as next month when MCI shareholders are due to vote on the proposed $37 billion share offer by Worldcom for MCI.
