Clarify has announced it has achieved the industry's highest-performing and most scalable enterprise-level front office implementation available.
Together with partners BEA Systems, Hewlett-Packard, Oracle and Rational Software, Clarify replicated an enterprise-scale deployment of Clarify FrontOffice, achieving record-breaking scalability of 30,000 concurrent users with sub-second response times. The solution more than doubles existing benchmark results of other enterprise front office solutions.
The benchmark was based on real-world business scenarios including complex customer enquiries that required escalation, workflow management and multiple database requests. Clarify FrontOffice was set up on an HP-UX v.11 server.
An Oracle 8 database acted as the central customer information repository.
A call centre handling 67,500 customer inquiries or cases per hour was simulated. The system achieved a 90th percentile response time of less than one second as well as the ability to support 405,000 user transactions per hour. In conjunction with the benchmark, Clarify also announced support for High Availability on HP-UX systems. With High Availability, mission-critical applications are protected from a variety of hardware and software failures, eliminating or minimising application downtime. Tanya Johnson, senior vice president of engineering at Clarify, said: "This demonstrates that Clarify delivers the most scalable front office software on the market today."
