The Object Management Group (OMG) has issued a request for proposals to incorporate workflow management into the Object Management Architecture (OMA). The aim of a Workflow Managment Facility is to define the interfaces and semantics necessary for systems to manipulate and execute interoperable workflow objects and their metadata in the Corba world. The Facility would also act as an integration platform for building workflow management applications that include both objects and existing applications. Letters of intent must be submitted to the OMG by 8 July, with initial submissions due by 29 August.
