UK Antivirus software developer Dr Solomon?s Software is reorganising.
A new division called Product Operations has been created. It is to be headed by Mike Hill, previously director of product marketing, who is also being promoted to senior vice president. The new group will bring together worldwide activities for creating and rolling out new products, including product management and R&D.
In a statement, Mike Hill said: ?We have established Product Operations to enable us to better integrate our worldwide activities for product development and release as our presence in the global market grows.?
The UK operations of the company are being consolidated into a UK subsidiary headed by Phil Watts, the former director of UK sales. In another promotion, Sandy Mackenzie has been named Director of International Business.
According to recent figures from PC Data, Dr Solomon?s currently holds about five per cent of the US retail antivirus market, trailing Symantec and McAfee.
However, the company is experiencing strong growth, recently recorded a doubling of profits and 67.4 per cent growth in earnings for its most recent quarter. The company made #3 million on turnover of #11.9 million.
