Web browser market growth will slow dramatically next year, according to a recent report from market researcher IDC.
The report predicted that around 30 million new users will tie into the web in 1998. However, IDC said this is a dramatic slowdown compared with the growth that occurred during 1996 though to 1997.
According to IDC, the slowdown represents a period in which users will concentrate on building infrastructure around their web browsers and communications capabilities.
