A handful of telecomms and hi tech companies could join the FTSE 1000 elite as the index undergoes a review of blue-chip stock tomorrow.
Among those tipped to join are Telewest, Colt and Sema Group.
The companies are likely oust companies hit by weak oil prices and the strong pound. The reshuffle of FTSE 1000 stock represents the strength of service industries compared to the slump in traditional industries such as manufacturing.
