Mobile phone users are in danger of losing concentration and suffering lapses in short term memory because of radiation emitted by cellular handsets.
According to research conducted at Washington University, which exposed rats to the same radiation as that emitted by mobile phones, the rodents were temporarily unable to learn simple tasks.
Henry Lai, Washington University's specialist in microwave radiation, told the 'Sunday Times' he was convinced that such radiation changed cell membranes, which would affect the way they carried out their functions.
