SAS institute has announced the results of a survey carried out by Harris Research entitled Making Customer Relationship Management a Reality. The survey looked at how financial services companies used IT to process customer information. While 96% of respondents believed that IT helped maximise the value of customer information, 90% of respondents admitted to not having an accurate picture of their customers and 40% did not yet have technology such as a data-warehouse dedicated to customer data.
