UK reseller FMIS and Magic Software have established a joint venture, Enabler Technology, to develop tools to help non-technical businesses deploy Internet applications.Lord Sainsbury, UK minister of science and technology, announced that Britech, the joint UK and Israeli government development fund, has contributed 50 per cent of the set-up costs. He said the venture brings together an innovative British company with Magic and its "state-of-the-art Web technology". Enabler is intended to allow companies to deploy legacy systems as Web solutions without hiring expensive developers or re-programming applications.
