Identify problematic Carrier IQ software that may be installed on your handset

Carrier IQ hit the headlines this month when it was accused of offering software that was not beneficial to mobile users.
The firm has defended its software, and hardware firms have said that they are not, and have not used it, however, if you are still worried you could use the Bitdefender Carrier IQ finder that lets you check your handset for its presence.
Bitdefender bought the software to the attention of the media, so it is fitting that the application comes from it. Should the application find the software installed it could show that your handset has tracking software on it that you may not like.
