DLL files are important components of any program, but they are often left behind when programs are uninstalled. If they build up they can take up lots of disk space.
DLL Archive is a simple tool that scans all drives (including networked drives, if specified) and presents a list of any DLL files that are not referenced to by any application.
These DLLs should be safe to delete, but DLL Archive lets you check them to ensure that they really are obsolete. Once a decision has been reached, the unnecessary DLLs can be archived at the click of a button.
Don't worry if you archive any important DLLs, as they can easily be recovered. This lets you test your applications to ensure that they still work before you decide to delete the archive.
There is no real reason to worry though; if an important program DLL is deleted, it can be recovered by re-installing the program.
