Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system faces a tough battle in the market as the majority of V3 readers are more than happy with Apple's iPad offerings to be lured to the platform.
Our last poll asked how interested people have been in the new operating system as it celebrated its 90-day anniversary since launch.
However, so far interest appears muted as only 17 percent of respondents said they have bought a new device or system running the operating system.
While this is perhaps not a bad start for Microsoft, only a further two percent of people are considering upgrading in the future having tried out the new interface.
Three percent said they'd tried the system but had no interest while a further six percent said they've seen others using it but hadn't got around to trying out the new system yet.
Worse for Microsoft was that 19 percent said they thought the interface was awful having tried it, and clearly will have no interest in moving to the new platform.
This will sting Microsoft, which is already facing a tough sell for its Windows 8 system. So far analyst figures have shown it's not helping reinvigorate PC sales, with tablets continuing to prove more popular.
This was proven by the fact most readers - 53 percent - are happy to ignore the new operating system and stick with their iPad, underlining Apple's dominance in the market and the desire for tablets over other forms of computing.
Clearly, V3 readers are very much part of the market as their broad disinterest for the platform matches many analyst reports on Windows 8 interest and uptake in the business environment.
Microsoft will be hoping the longer term future of Windows 8 will see it grow in use as businesses begin upgrade their operating systems, but it appears it could be Apple's market for many years to come.
