Last week it was talk of new MacBook Pro models. This week, it's talk of a mystery Apple event. Next week? Perhaps the talk will surround a new line of iPad tablets.
AllThingsD is reporting that on March 2 Apple will be holding an event to launch the second incarnation of the iPad. The story falls in line with other reports that Apple is cutting prices on the older model in advance of the release of new models.
If past reports are to be believed, the iPad 2 will feature a slimmer design, a faster processor and a forward-facing camera that will allow for FaceTime video chat. AllThingsD also suggests that the device will support both GSM and CDMA mobile networks.
