It's easy to be put off video editing for life if you install and use an application such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro from Apple. These video-editing tools are so advanced it's difficult to know where to start. This is why Apple released Final Cut Express (and the more basic iMovie) and Adobe have released Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0, which is now available as a trial download.
With Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 you can do the basic video editing required to create your own home movies and DVD videos you can pass to your friends and family. Import your video, cut to size, add a few effects and then export or burn to disc.
