We are all guilty of wasting time online, checking through email and browsing favourite websites, looking for updated information. Once someone told me that they had around ten sites they tended to visit, they went through them all when they got in to the office first thing in the morning, then went through them again after lunch. They were ‘proud’ to admit that it took two hours out of their working day simply checking to see if their favourite sites had been updated.
Of course, there other reasons why we waste time at work and we’re guilty of checking blogs more frequently than required. If you do require blog access for work, you either need to use an RSS reader or keep checking the online page to see if it has been updated.
UpdatePatrol 3.1 is a useful web page monitoring tool enabling you to stay updated automatically, without having to manually check the remote site. Simply select the web sites you want to keep an eye on, and the rest is done for you.
