Luckily enough for Safari 4 users, Apple haven't changed these functions completely and, if you know what you're doing, you can change the interface back to how it appeared in the previous incarnation. Random Genius have produced a list of commands you can use in the Mac-based Terminal to turn on the progress bar, turn off tabs at the top of the screen and much more. If you're a Windows Safari 4 user, you can simply edit the preferences XML file.
