Two additions to Dell's family of business PC systems which incorporate many features for reducing the cost of ownership. These include a new chassis that is easily serviced, upgraded and recycled. The entry-level Gs5133, which has a 133MHz Pentium processor, 16Mb of RAM, a 1Gb hard disk and a 15in monitor, is aimed at the budget-conscious business user. The GXi5166 is a mainstream corporate system and features a 166MHz Pentium processor, 32Mb of RAM, a 1Gb hard disk, 15in monitor and Windows NT 4 installed.

First of a new generation of modems featuring Host Signal Processing (HSP) technology. With HSP, a PC's processor can do all the digital signal processing functions normally carried out by a dedicated processor, so producing a cheaper modem that is easy to use. Recognita Plus 3.2
New version of Recognita's leading professional optical character recognition (OCR) software. This release has 32-bit processing for use in Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 environments. The program uses OCR-specific correction tools in its fully-featured WYSIWYG text editor. Features such as image verifiers and dictionaries further improve the accuracy. New series of notebooks targeted at the professional mobile computing market. The Lifebook 500 Series includes mid-range and value models. All the systems are modular in design so users can swap the floppy drive with a second hard drive, second battery or CD-ROM drive. XG3795E and XG3785E
Two new LCD projectors for presentations and training. Each projector weighs just 7.5kg and measures 380x165x310mm, while providing full multimedia compatibility. Both models also have direct connection to a PC or Mac.
The XG3795E has an SVGA display and provides 800x600 resolution, with the XG3785 providing 640x480 in VGA. For true portability, the units have a built-in carrying handle together with plug-and-play technology, while the on-screen display is available in eight languages. Presentations can be made more impressive with the built-in stereo sound, and there is a backlit infra-red remote control which adjusts the speaker volume, input and status selection.
