Despite the continued boom in mobile device ownership - and the increased mobile web browsing that comes with it - only one third of organisations said mobile web is "central to our thinking moving forward". Worryingly, when asked about the mobile web, one in seven said their organisation "has not given it much thought" or has "not thought about it at all".
Perhaps most concerning of all is that almost a quarter of IT managers simply "don't know" about the mobile strategy of their own business, suggesting they're either being left out the loop, or management is going straight to outside agencies for this work. Leaving IT out of application deployment because it's "marketing's job" might well prove to be an expensive error.
This fact has been taken from an exclusive study on the agile web.
