With its Centrino brand, chip giant Intel is underscoring its commitment to a raft of technologies, ranging from low-consumption processing to wireless LAN connectivity.

Centrino products are also designed to move Intel toward its long-term goal of enabling fully-featured, highly-portable laptops that work for a full eight hours between charges.
