Google has updated the Image Search results page for
Android,
iPhone
and
iPod
touch users, bringing features launched on Google Image Search in December
2008 to mobile devices.
Mobile users in the UK, the US and Japan will now be able to view 20 images
on a single page, and have the option to view the image in full size and visit
the web page containing the image.
The new results page will also contain 'search by style' filters that allow
users to restrict searches to particular image types, such as people's faces,
clip art, line drawings or photo content.
In other Google news, the firm has
upgraded
its GrandCentral service to a new offering called
Google
Voice, adding the ability to make free domestic calls, transcribe voicemails
and support conference calls for up to six participants.
The launch is being seen as a direct attack against internet and traditional
telephony services.
