MSI has added Suse Linux, a larger hard drive and new colours to its Wind mini-laptop range.

The Wind, unveiled in June, follows the format of other mini-laptops such as the Asus Eee PC, but has a 10in display and slightly larger keyboard.

MSI has now announced that the standard Wind model U100 with Windows XP has been upgraded with a 120GB hard drive, while the price remains at £329.

A Linux version, the U90X, with a smaller 8.9in display and 80GB hard drive, is now available for a reduced price of £269.

Meanwhile, the firm has started producing models in additional colours. The first, a pink version of the U100, is shipping with the older 80GB hard disk option for £319.
