LinkedIn has launched
a raft of new Web 2.0 features designed to enhance its business value and enable
professionals to collaborate and network more effectively.
The social networking site, which claims over 26 million members, unveiled
interactive discussion boards, enhanced search and a searchable groups directory
which will allow users to find professionals and groups with similar interests.
Also new are digest emails, group homepages of latest activity within a group
and the ability for group administrators to monitor and control comments.
"Professionals in the UK are looking at new ways of remaining competitive on
a global basis," said Kevin Eyres, European managing director at LinkedIn. "
We're confident that these new features will spur communication, promote
collaboration, and make the group functionality more valuable to our members."
