"Since the launch of our first Walkman phone in 2005, Sony Ericsson has continued to pioneer a superior mobile music experience," said Ben Padley, head of the music category at Sony Ericsson.

"With this latest range of phones and accessories, we are offering high quality sound and a rich feature set that cements our position as a leader in the music phone category."

Since the launch of the first Walkman phone, the W800, in August 2005, Sony Ericsson has sold around 77 million of the music-centric mobiles.

The new phones include popular existing features such as the TrackID music recognition application, the mood matching SensMe program and Shake control to change tracks by flicking the device.

The W902 is the pinnacle of the new trio featuring a 5-megapixel camera and an 8GB Memory Stick Micro card.

The W595 Walkman includes stereo speakers for sharing music with friends and everyone else in the vicinity.

The W302 is the baby of the range and is also the slimmest, packing in a 2-megapixel camera, FM radio and 512MB Memory Stick Micro card.

The new phones will be available in a range of colour combinations and are expected to hit the shelves towards the end of the year.
