The US Federal Trade Commission has launched a video campaign on YouTube to highlight the dangers of phishing attacks.

Six English and Spanish-language videos attempt to educate users on the dangers and methods of phishing.

In the latest videos, a fin-backed 'phisher' attempts to con people into turning over various personal and financial details.

The FTC hopes that the campaign will simplify the concept of phishing and allow users to spot the practice more easily.

The videos are part of the larger OnGuardOnline.gov initiative which aims to inform users about internet fraud and ways to keep safe online.
