Nero fires up Blu-ray burning for Linux

Nero Linux 3.5 due in mid-March

Nero has announced plans to ship the latest update to its burning application for the Linux operating system.

The firm claims that Nero Linux 3.5 is the only application on the market to provide Linux users with full Blu-ray/HD-DVD data burning support.

The offering, which is due to ship in mid-March, boasts support and screen resolution enhancements for popular sub-notebooks pre-loaded with Linux and with a very small screen resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

Charly Lippoth, chief technology officer at Nero, said: "Nero believes that content cannot be contained by one operating system, computer or device, so we continue to develop ways for digital media content to run smoothly between all hubs."
