Oracle has agreed to acquire LogicalApps, a provider of automated governance, risk and compliance offerings.
LogicalApps delivers automated application controls in the areas of access, setup and transaction monitoring.
The technology is designed to help enforce proper segregation of duties in enterprise applications, reduce fraud by using preventative controls, and provide evidence of proper control environments.
LogicalApps' portfolio of control management offerings will be integrated into Oracle's existing governance, risk and compliance applications suite.
"Regulatory compliance and the associated risk is a top priority for business executives today," said Oracle president Charles Phillips.
The transaction is subject to customary conditions and is expected to close by November 2007. Financial details were not disclosed.
