VideoEgg, a video ad network targeting online communities, has struck a deal with social networking site Facebook.
The Eggnetwork Advertising Platform will allow developers to earn money with the applications they develop for Facebook.
Eggnetwork comprises more than 80 online communities and is a rich-media ad network for interactive online applications.
The network already includes dozens of Facebook applications like Movies, Likeness, Emote, Graffiti, MyTV, Fluff Friends, iGift, Zombies, MyAquarium, PuzzleBee, StickyNotes, Scrabulous, Games and Interests.
Developers garner a portion of the revenue generated from ads served through the Eggnetwork.
Advertisers taking advantage of the expanded reach of the network include Discovery Networks, Electronic Arts, Fox Searchlight, FX Channel, Paramount Pictures and Universal Pictures.
"Aggregating dozens of application owners together in our network will give advertisers the reach they need to go deep in any demographic," said Jordan Ferguson, European managing director at VideoEgg.
