The promoters of new movie Clerks II are promising to list MySpace members in the end credits of the film.
All users who add the Clerks II MySpace page to their list of friends will be credited on the DVD release.
The movie's producer, The Weinstein Company, said in a statement: "Any and all MySpace members, no matter how many, who add that same page to their friends list will have their names permanently listed in the ending credits on the DVD of Clerks II."
The film managed to gain 10,000 additions to its friends list in under three hours in a recent promotion. The number of members currently linking to the page stands at 32,485.
The film is a follow up to Kevin Smith's 1994 Sundance Film Festival hit Clerks. The movie will be released in the US on 21 July.
