Laptops come with spill-proof keyboards for the accident-prone

Dell has expanded its mobile business computing range with the launch of three Latitude notebooks and two Precision mobile workstations.
The newly unveiled laptops include Intel 915GM/PM chipset technology, Pentium M processors with speeds up to 2.13GHz, together with a 533MHz front-side bus and 2MB L2 cache.
According to the firm, the main developments include stiffer, sealed keyboards to protected against spills, Trusted Platform Module security technology and integrated smartcard readers.
The ultra-portable Latitude D410 weighs 1.72kg, has a black and sliver chassis and a starting price of £939. Dell claims that, with the addition of an optional nine-cell extended battery, users can come close to all-day computing without recharging.
The Latitude D610 weighs 2.12kg and starts at £817. Customers can build configurations to fit specific needs, choosing between two graphics offerings: the latest Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 or the enhanced ATI Mobility Radeon X300 card.
The Latitude D810 weighs 2.94kg and features a 15.4in wide-aspect display. It is priced at £1,092.
Dell also unveiled two mobile workstations in its Precision product line. The Precision M70 includes the NVidia Quadro FX Go1400 256MB PCIe 3D OpenGL graphics engine, 15.4in wide-aspect UltraSharp high resolution displays and weighs 3.04kg.
The lighter Precision M20 weighs in at 2.21kg and includes ISV certifications and OpenGL graphics. Dell said it will allow users reliably to view designs and run workstation applications while enjoying the mobility benefits of a mainstream notebook.
The Dell Precision M70 starts £1,189 and the M20 at £999. All prices exclude VAT and delivery.
