A student at the University of Delaware has appeared in court charged with breaking into the university's computer systems to change her grades.
Darielle Insler made phone calls to the technical support teams in which she impersonated her teachers and requested a new password. She used the password to get into her personal files and change her grades.
Campus police say she allegedly changed her grades in maths and science classes from Fs to As. And police say she changed an 'incomplete' to a passing grade in an education class.
Police stated that the plan was simple and very effective at gaining access to key systems. However, it also left a trail of evidence that pointed to her.
Insler is currently on bail awaiting a full hearing.
