With O&O DiskImage 4 Professional Edition the user can select various methods, such as complete, differential or incremental. For the first time ever, it is also now possible to restore virtual hard disks of the type Microsoft Virtual Hard Disks (VHD) directly. O&O DiskImage makes it possible to convert images from virtual hard disks of the type Microsoft Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) into image files of O&O DiskImage (OMG) and vice versa. A virtual hard disk can be restored directly. O&O DiskImage image files (OMG) can be mounted as virtual hard disks. Individual files can be copied with the help of Windows Explorer and subsequently restored. Images created with O&O DiskImage 4 can be burned on to all optical storage volumes (CD/DVD/Blu-Ray/HD-DVD).
The graphic display of the hard disk and drives - similar to the data management from Microsoft Windows - allows for an intuitive selection of the storage volumes to be imaged or to be restored. Free and used space, as well as the size of the individual partitions will be shown, which greatly facilitates the management of data. The service and job status can be viewed using the TrayIcon, without even having to start O&O DiskImage 4 Professional Edition. At a glance, you can check on the completion of jobs, and maybe even prevent any unwanted cancellations.
Like its predecessors, this O&O DiskImage 4 version also includes a Start CD based on the current Windows PE. This makes it possible to create images even if the operating system is not working anymore. The unique O&O DriverLoader lets users download drivers retrospectively that are not available as standard at Start up.
