This is the software publisher’s description.
Most new PCs come with a rather large hard drive, either formatted as one very large drive or factory partitioned in a manner that the manufacturer deems applicable to their end-user. However, there’s no easy way of changing the size or format of these partitions, unless you buy yourself some partitioning software.
Partition Logic is a free hard disk partitioning and data management tool. It can create, delete, format, defragment, resize, and move partitions and modify their attributes. It can copy entire hard disks from one to another.
Partition Logic is based on the Visopsys operating system. It boots from a CD or floppy disk and runs as a standalone system, independent of your regular operating system.
Partition Logic is intended to become a free alternative to such commercial programs.
Note that this is supplied as an ISO image (so you can create your own bootable CD) within a ZIP file.
