NetCaptor is a new browser to us, and like many it isn't actually a browser in its own right, but simply a new interface for Internet Explorer that also adds new features.

It uses the IE architecture and simply improves upon the weak product that IE is.

The best feature of NetCaptor is its tabbed browsing functionality, which is de rigueur these days in browsers. Open multiple windows within the main browser window.

Other improvements it brings are a pop-up stopper and an advert blocker (registered version only). Blocking pop-ups is automatic, but blocking ads is done by URLs, which have to be entered manually.

Secure erasure of all browsing history (cache, history and cookies) is included. The erasure meets US Department of Defense standards, so there is no chance of data being recovered.

An Alias feature provides a way of accessing websites quickly: simply assign a shortcut to a URL and type this into the address bar instead (i.e. type 'v' to access www.vnunet.com).
