Business analytics firm SAS has paired up with six technology companies to
ensure compatibility with their databases.
The company said that users of databases from Teradata, Netezza, IBM, HP,
AsterData and GreenPlum will no longer need to extract the data from data
warehouses and load it into a separate system for analysis.
SAS claimed that the integration will improve accuracy when analysing data,
reduce data movement and streamline analytic processes.
"For decision makers, this means faster access to analytical results and more
agile and accurate decisions that comply with governance requirements," said the
company announcing the partnerships.
Keith Collins, chief technology officer at SAS, added: "Tapping the database
for operational analytics significantly reduces the bottlenecks resulting from
moving data over a network, giving customers quicker access to the predictive
results they need to compete effectively."
