Compuware's takeover of Gomez bears fruit

Acquisition spawns integrated performance dashboard

Compuware has announced the first fruits of its purchase of Gomez – an integrated performance management system that can be used across the enterprise.

Compuware said its new Vantage system is designed to give firms a clear view over their entire application footprint and delivery chain, from behind-the-firewall systems to their web browsers.

The system harnesses technology acquired from Gomez to alert users to perfomance issues, identify causes and suggest fixes – all via an easy-to-use dashboard.

“We are committed to delivering high-value integrations between Vantage and Gomez, and this first deliverable is proof of that promise,” said Mark Hillman, vice president, strategy and product line management, Compuware.

“By moving quickly with our integration, we are able to provide immediate value to our customers, within days of the acquisition close. This is a very important first step in creating integrated solutions that dramatically improve the way organisations manage application performance across the enterprise and the internet.”

The intergrated solution is available now for free to existing users of both systems.
