IE use falls and fragments

Google's Chrome is the fastest growing browser in the market, according to the latest data from web monitoring firm Net Applications.
Chrome's share increased to 3.6 per cent in September from 3.4 per cent in October, while the biggest loser was Internet Explorer (IE) which fell from 65.7 per cent to 64.6 per cent.
Mozilla's Firefox rose 0.3 points to 24.1 per cent, Safari rose from 4.2 per cent to 4.4 per cent and Opera remained steady at 2.2 per cent.
Net Applications uses a global network of around 40,000 internet monitoring stations to generate the figures, which represents huge numbers of internet users.
The data also shows that Chrome and Firefox users are far more likely to be using up-to-date versions of the browsers than those using IE.
Around 23 per cent of IE users use version 6.0, followed by IE 7 at 18.2 per cent and IE 8 at 18.1 per cent.
