Download media files from the Internet and it’s up to keep these files backed up on your system. Lose your purchased MP3 collection and there’s no way of retrieving the audio tracks unless you get your card out and purchase again. Some people claim this is a valid reason to keeping buying CDs, but backing up your media partition, from time to time, will suffice.

There’s no reason for not backing up your data.
