Motorola Dext out Tuesday

  • Tweet this

Someone in the Orange press office may be suffering from short term memory loss.

A comment on one of our V3.co.uk news stories, that apparently comes from Orange, tells us quite a bit about the release of the upcoming Motorola Dext phone. It's a great read, very informative, but unfortunately no one in the Orange press office knows anything about it.

Motorola's Dext phone has Motoblur, a sort of flashy, portal like, app aggretor screen that according to the firm will let users synch just about everything they want in one place. You may prefer our description.

Our poster tells us this extra info: Orange is preparing to showcase its exclusive Motorola Dext phone at the launch of its new Multimedia store tomorrow. The glamourous launch takes place in Milton Keynes at 3pm, and will not only see the opening of the shop, but also the chance to sign up for the phone a full 24 hours before the rest of the country.

Orange is offering the Dext free to customers who take out a 24-month contract at £34.26 per month. It will be available at the new Orange Multimedia Store in Milton Keynes from 6 October, and nationwide at your local Orange store from 7 October.

We are still waiting for confirmation about all of the above from Orange PR, and hoping that they haven't forgotten about us...

Update: Motorola has just called V3.co.uk to confirm the details of the Dext release, so get ready to hot-foot it over to Milton Keynes tomorrow if you're keen.
