V3 got a look at the forthcoming BlackBerry Bold Touch today, ahead of its launch at the end of August.
The 2.8in device will take over as RIM's flagship smartphone. Key features include a revamped chassis that is 10mm thick, a 1.2GHz processor and a touch-screen display with an improved 640x480 resolution.
RIM has redesigned the keyboard, making the letters bigger and easier to hit. The manufacturer will also ship the device with the latest BlackBerry 7 OS, along with NFC functionality and a browser that RIM claims is 40 per cent faster than previous versions.
The Bold Touch is due to be launched on all major UK networks at the end of August. Prices are yet to be confirmed, but the handset is expected to be available around the £35 a month mark on a long-term contract.
