Unveiled alongside the popular Galaxy Note 2 Android smartphone at IFA, the Ativ S is the one and only Samsung device confirmed to run Microsoft's Windows Phone 8.
Loaded with a slew of custom Samsung apps, a powerful dual-core 1.5 GHz processor and crisp 4.8in Super Amoled display, our opening impressions of the Ativ S are positive.
However, the build quality seemed slightly poor, an issue we had with the firm's flagship Galaxy S3 Android device. We'll have more insights on the device in our full review in the future after the device is released later this year.
