Newham's IT chief discusses Olympics preparations, security and legacy [Video]

As part of V3's partnership with Cisco in the run up to the Olympics, we caught up with Geoff Connell, joint head of ICT at the London boroughs of Newham and Havering to discuss what preparations the Olympics host boroughs have been making for the event, particularly in terms of IT security and flexible working initiatives.

Connell also discusses his hopes to use the regeneration and investment that has occurred in the boroughs because of the Olympics to deliver a lasting legacy. One plan is to harness the high-capacity network to create a datacentre for all London boroughs.
