V3 got the chance to take a closer look at Samsung's forthcoming Galaxy Note device at a launch event on Thursday evening in London. Touted by the firm as a smartphone/tablet hybrid, Samsung also claims the Note can cater to the needs of business users.
The handset features a 5.3in WXGA Super Amoled screen with 1,280x800 resolution, and is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor. Samsung has also included an S-Pen stylus to allow interaction with documents and images.
The Galaxy Note will start shipping in the UK on 2 November, and will come preloaded with Android Gingerbread 2.3. Samsung said it plans to roll out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update shortly after release.
