While those who queued up outside the Apple stores in London to get their hands on the shiny new iPhone 4S are no doubt enjoying playing with the device and talking with Siri, V3 still can't help but think there's still a few things missing from the phone.
Sure, it's still a fancy piece of kit and the hardware improvements are significant, but there's a still a raft of functions and changes that we're surprised Apple didn't include. Almost as if they're planning to launch another model in six months' time, isn't it?
Hopefully, that launch, no doubt of the iPhone 5, will address these oversights.
1. Where's the NFC?
Near Field Communications is one of the Next Big Things in the mobile world so it seems odd Apple hasn't put the technology in the iPhone 4S. The device would certainly have benefited from the technology as it would give Apple the chance to make sure it keeps pace with Google in the mobile commerce world.
However, it's almost certainly a feature that will come with the iPhone 5, by which time the technology may be more firmly established in other areas, helping entice more customers to upgrade yet again.
2. No new design – has Jonathan Ive just got bored?
Perhaps one of the oddest thing about the iPhone 4S is the complete lack of redesign. Apple hasn't changed a thing, with the shape, style, lines and curves of the device all exactly the same.
Of course, there's nothing awful about this, per se: the phone is one of the loveliest looking on the market. But it does demand the question – what on earth has Jonathan Ive been doing for the past six months?

Do you agree?
ditching proprietary connector will be a deal breaker for some.
Replacing the proprietary connector will make your old hardwares eg. dock, sound dock, car dock useless, these all use the IPOD connector, so replacing it with a Micro USB might be a deal breaker for most IDevice user. But If you'll put along a Micro USB + IPOD connector might give you unbalanced design which will be bad to apples reputation. though I find their device design odd sometimes.
