The RSA Conference Europe kicks off in London on Tuesday, promising over 70 sessions and 11 tracks over three days with an expected focus on mobile security and consumerisation.
This year's overriding theme is the adventures of Alice and Bob, the cryptographic archetypes first made famous in the 1970s.
The long-running RSA Conference, which reached its 20th anniversary in the US recently, will this year feature keynote speakers including Microsoft Trustworthy Computing general manager Adrienne Hall, RSA executive chairman Art Coviello, and World Wide Web creator Tim Berners-Lee.
Other notable keynoter speakers include European Electronic Crime Task Force chairman Stefano Grassi, Qualys chief executive Philippe Courtot, and Symantec chief technology officer Sean Doherty.
The threat to mobile devices is likely to be a hot topic at the show, as is the increasing management headaches faced by IT managers tasked with allowing employees and executives to use their own devices in the workplace.
Particularly close attention will be paid to Android given its greater risk profile, according to Hugh Thompson, conference organiser and chief security strategist at People Security.
"We'll see this permeate the agenda at the conference," he told V3. "There'll be a lot of talks on mobile security from high-end business management to malware threat levels."
