Google has released the latest stable version of Chrome, patching 32 vulnerabilities and improving support for Apple's Mac OS X Lion platform.
The company paid out $14,337 to bug bounty hunters, and has patched 15 'high priority' flaws. There were no 'critical' updates, which are reserved for bugs that allow attackers to bypass Chrome's anti-exploit sandbox.
Chrome 14 also contains bug fixes and updates so that it can be used on Mac OS X Lion. Chrome uses Lion's overlay scroll bars, which appear only when scrolling on a web page. Support has also been added for Lion's full-screen mode.
Google has added Web Audio API and Native Client support to allow developers to build additional features into apps, according to Brad Chen, a software engineer at Google.
"The Web Audio API enables developers to add fancy audio effects such as room simulation and spatialisation. Native Client is an open source technology which allows C and C++ code to be seamlessly and securely executed inside the browser," he said on the Google Chrome Blog.
"Currently, Native Client only supports applications listed in the Chrome Web Store, but we are working to remove this limitation as soon as possible."
Computer users with Chrome installed will have the updates delivered automatically.
