The story of most interest to V3 readers this week was the news that HP is to ship further units of its soon-to-be-defunct tablet as demand for the device shows no sign of abating.
Security was also a key area this week, as stories about the DigiNotar certificate thief being revealed as the Iranian Comodo Hacker, and the risk that cloud computing and mobile devices pose for e-crime, both featured in the top 10.
Apple appeared as usual, and readers were keen to see which product won in our head-to-head review of the MacBook Air 11in and the iPad 2. News that Apple trails behind Android and BlackBerry in the UK handset market was also of interest.
News from German tech show IFA also piqued curiosity, particularly our round-up of the best and worst from the show, and Samsung being forced to remove the Galaxy Tab 7.7 from the show floor.
Rounding out the top 10 was the news Google has quietly scrapped 10 side projects to concentrate on its core offerings, along with the availability of the .xxx domain from ICM Registry and Virgin Media doing a deal to improve the Ethernet backhaul for Three and Everything Everywhere.
