HP has announced the launch of its LaserJet Pro 100 colour MFP M175nw printer, a multi-function network-capable device that can also copy and scan, and offers time and cost-saving features for small to midsize businesses.
Available immediately, the £249 device is described as HP's smallest colour multifunction laser, although at 33 x 44 x 32cm and weighing 18.8kg it is still a substantial unit.
The M175nw supports Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections, enabling it to be shared among a workgroup.
HP said that the device's Auto-Off and Instant-on Technology saves on power consumption, sensing automatically when there is no print activity and adjusting the power settings accordingly.
Also supported in this model is HP ePrint, which lets users print from a smartphone, notebook or other mobile device by sending print jobs to the machine via email.
Robert Dinkelacker, HP's LaserJet marketing manager for EMEA, said that the M175nw allows smaller companies to demonstrate the same quality and professionalism of big organisations.
The M175nw can produce up to 16 pages per minute in black at a resolution of 600dpi, and can scan to PDF, Jpeg, Tiff, Bitmap, or PNG files at 1,200dpi. It can also produce up to 99 copies of a document in a single batch.
