Top 10 articles: CERN creating 1PB of data per second and LulzSec pros and cons

Our most popular article this week is from our recent trip to the CERN headquarters in Geneva, with the news that the scientific research centre is creating one petabyte of data every second - that's 13 years' worth of HD video every second. Wow.

If you're interested in finding out more about our trip, you can see pictures from inside the CERN control centre and read about the scientists' undocumented work into animal welfare.

Also popular was our top 10 looking into what was good, and not so good, about the recent LulzSec campaign. Although the group has now disbanded, it did a great job at highlighting the importance of IT security.
